(b) Left hemisphere: pathways greatly overlap, resulting in a cluttered view (superior) in which underlying pathway configurations are hidden. The square indicates the same location as in (a). Right hemisphere: orientation-dependent transparency rendering in which all streamline segments that run in the direction of the viewing axis are rendered transparent. In this way, the underlying structures are revealed and can be explored.
