• The VTK User's Guide: It describes in detail how to work with the software.
• The Visualization Toolkit An Object-Oriented Approach to 3D Graphics is a higher-level theory book that describes important data structures and algorithms used in VTK. Amazon.com is not the only seller of these items. Kitware can also provide them.
• Insight into Images: Principles and Practice for Segmentation, Registration, and Image Analysis. This book on VTK Theory is also available through its publisher: AK Peters, Ltd.
• Introduction to Programming for Image Analysis with VTK: This text, from Yale University, is part of a medical imaging course.
