Sara is starting a new role as developer and research scientist at University of Washington Friday Harbor Laboratories. The aim of this project is the development of morphometric software using the 3D Slicer platform.

Sara completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington in 2014. In her dissertation work, she developed landmark-free methods of evaluating shape changes in context of fetal development in animal models. Prior to her current project, Sara completed a post-doc at Seattle Children's Research Institute where she adapted her shape analysis tools to assess asymmetry and abnormality in human faces. Her research interests include computer vision, biomedical imaging, morphometrics, feature extraction, and automated phenotyping.
