I use uCT scans to study the evolution of both extant and fossil insects and arthropods. 3D Slicer is my platform of choice for post-processing and segmentation of data sets.

Paleoentomological studies include inclusions in Dominican amber (~Miocene/Eocene), Burmese amber (Cretaceous), and Crato Formation specimens (Cretaceous). Extant specimens incude an array of orders to investigate evolution of flight mechanics.
