Introduction

Slicer is a software platform for image visualization and processing. In general, it is recommended to use computers with enough memory and graphics capabilities.

Configuration

  • Precompiled versions 64bit of Slicer 4.0 are available for Windows7, Linux, and Mac OS X.
  • Main memory should be more than 4GB (8 recommended)
  • If you want to use volume rendering, make sure you work with a computer that has dedicated graphics hardware and memory. You should have enough graphics memory to hold your data set. 1GB is recommended.
