Slicer 3.2

Preparations are underway for a major new release of Slicer 3, called Slicer 3.2. The release is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2008.
Multi-platform: binaries for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux are available for download
Scenesnapshot allows capture of all visualization parameters of a scene
The new release contains hundreds of changes to the software and is based on recently released versions of vtk (5.2), itk (3.6), and cmake (2.6).
Slicer continues to be a research package and is not intended for clinical use. Some features of Slicer3 are not fully tested.

Integrated Volume Rendering:
The bone and large vessels are volume rendered.
The other structures are surface rendered
and combined with cross-sections.
