Slicer 3.2

  • Preparations are underway for a major new release of Slicer 3, called Slicer 3.2. The release is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2008.
  • The new release is based on recently released versions of vtk (5.0), itk (3.6), and cmake (2.6).
  • The entire build infrastructure of Slicer was modified to enable the use of new features available in the underlying packages.
  • Major features have been added in comparison to the Slicer 3.0 release from January 2008. See below for highlights.
    • However, some features of Slicer3 are not fully tested.
  • Slicer continues to be a research package and is not intended for clinical use.
