Figure 3: Three-Dimensional, MRI-Based Computer Model of Conjoined Twins (Sagittal View). Conventional two-dimensional MRI studies of thoracoomphalopagus twins were performed at 32 weeks’ gestation. The MRI studies were then used to create a three-dimensional computer model. Review of the anatomical features revealed two separate biliary drainage systems (green) within the fused livers (orange). Other organ systems shown here include the lungs (light purple), kidneys (dark yellow), bladders (bright yellow), and central nervous systems (gray). The cardiac structures are not shown in this representation of the model.

Arcus tendineus fasciae (arrowheads), known by gynecologists as white line of pelvis, is commonly disrupted in women with pelvic organ prolapse. Boundaries of levator hiatus are delineated by stars.
