How to Download

To use Slicer, please read the BSD-style open source 3D Slicer Software License Agreement before downloading any binary releases of the Slicer. Please download later versions here.

Slicer 1.3.0, available March 2002

Slicer 1.3.0 is available via ftp for the PC as slicer-pc-1.3.0.exe, and via ftp for Solaris as slicer-1.3.0.tar.gz. The source for these binaries is available through CVS via the release tagged as release-1_2_3-02_25_2002.

Slicer 1.3.0 release brings together new functionality that has been in development and research use for several months. Although new improvements are continually added to the CVS source tree, the 1.3.0 release should provide a solid base for most users.
